We have specially crafted out various makeup courses for all makeup enthusiasts; individuals who wish to learn a skill or an art, professionals who aspire to be makeup artists and executives or students who want to take up an extra-curriculum activity.

The syllabus includes subjects commonly taught in make-up schools. Makeup courses are opened to residents in Singapore, tourists and overseas students, with no age limit.

In summary, these are the courses offered in Sophys-tique:
1) Basic Make-up Module – for beginners who want to learn the proper way of applying make-up
2) Bridal Make-up Module – for those who wish to undertake ROM, wedding assignments
3) Make-up Artist Proficiency Module – for those who want to be trained as a professional make-up artist

Our make-up trainers have years of experience in makeovers, fashion shows, pageant shows and needless to say have been in training and grooming make-up artists-to-be.  We adopt a different methodology of teaching that is not just interactive but something interesting to the students, preparing and giving them opportunities to be exposed to this profession.

MAKE-UP ARTIST PROFICIENCY MODULE

Class size :  6 students (kept small for optimum learning)

This course takes a step further and is for students who are serious about learning more in-depth about makeup and the various corrective techniques for different looks.  It is a complete top-to-toe course covering hair styling, grooming of nails and more makeup techniques. Practical opportunities will be given to students so as to prepare them in pursuing further in this career.

Our current special course fees now includes a free Made-In-Italy student kit containing brushes and products, worth more than S$600. With the make-up products, students are ready to take on any assignments without having to pay too much to start the career.

Having a passion in make-up and after attending a skincare workshop held in Sophys-tique, I took up the advance make-up proficiency course. It was the course outline, impressive portfolio taken, events participated, reasonable fees and of course Director Gisella’s professionalism that made me took up without much hesitation.

Lessons are conducted in small group whereby students get more attention. We are more focused and we get to practise on one another; thus mistakes can be corrected by instructor on the spot. This is a good and effective way to learn from mistakes and also to remember the techniques learnt.

Sophys-tique gives students the flexibility to come for practice during and even after the course has completed. We are given the chance to participate in events in which we can build-up our skill and speed.
